The Story
The lead guitar sound on "Supersonic" was recorded at Monnow Valley Studio using Noel Gallagher's Gibson Les Paul through a Vox AC30 amplifier. A Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face was used to add the raw, overdriven character to the lead lines, while a Boss CE-1 chorus pedal provided the swirling thickness that became part of Oasis's signature guitar sound. The recording was produced by Owen Morris and engineered by Mark Coyle.

Recreation Tips
- Start with a Les Paul or similar humbucker-equipped guitar.
- Use a Vox AC30 amp model or the real thing.
- Introduce a Fuzz Face early in the chain for that raw, overdriven tone.
- Add a subtle chorus effect to thicken the sound, being careful not to overdo it.
- Experiment with mic placement on the amp to capture the desired tone and room ambience.
